Resumen: 

Sobre la Guerra Civil española se han escrito y recogido miles de páginas y testimonios orales, fotográficos o documentales, pero sobre el terreno aún quedan cicatrices en forma de trincheras y elementos arquitectónicos de gran interés, a veces insuficientemente documentados. En el caso de Asturias, cerca de 600 construcciones bélicas han llegado hasta nuestros días, en un estado de conservación admirable, existiendo también una gran variedad tipológica. Esto, junto con el gran valor paisajístico de sus emplazamientos, las hace únicas. Desde el puerto de Leitariegos hasta Picos de Europa, toda la cordillera fue fortificada. Lena es una de esas zonas estratégicas que conservan diversos vestigios bélicos, que hoy en día forman parte de nuestro patrimonio cultural, con un claro potencial didáctico, divulgativo y turístico. En estas breves líneas se pretende registrar los vestigios de las montañas lenenses, que dan cuenta de este episodio histórico, y mostrar cómo el territorio puede actuar como narrador.

Abstract:

Thousands of pages and oral, photographic of documentary testimonies have been collected about the Spanish Civil War, but on the ground there are still scars in the form of trenches and architectural elements of great interest, sometimes insufficiently documented. In the case of Asturias, nearly 600 buildings have survived, in an admirable state of conservation, and with a great typological variety. This, together with the great scenic value of its locations, makes them unique. From the port of Leitariegos to Picos de Europa, the entire mountain range was fortified. Lena is one of those strategic areas that preserves various vestiges of warfare, which today are part of our cultural heritage, with a clear educational, informative and tourist potential. The aim of this work is record the vestiges in the Lena mountains, that account for this historical episode, and show how the territory can act as narrator.
