Resumen: 

L’edificiu de les Escueles Graduaes de La Pola, que dende 1996 agospia’l Colexu Públicu Jesús Neira, foi inauguráu en 1933. Por cuenta del so 90 aniversariu entamóse una investigación coleutiva qu’apurre abondosos datos y materiales al rodiu la hestoria del inmueble y de la institución. Como parte d’esi trabayu, esti artículu recueye lo relativo al so orixe y construcción, estudiando’l proyeutu del arquiteutu Pedro Sánchez Sepúlveda (1928). Xunto col del «colexu ximelgu» de Bual, constitúi una variación del modelu d’escuela graduada de seis secciones ellaboráu por Antonio Flórez na Oficina Téunica de Construcciones Escolares, atendiendo a nueves esixencies hixénicu-pedagóxiques. Poro, l’edificiu constitúi un escelente exemplu d’arquitectura educativa de la dómina, destacando pol so funcionalismu, racionalidá espacial, soluciones rexonalistes y calidá constructiva.

Abstract:

The primary school building in La Pola [Escuelas Graduadas], which has housed the Jesús Neira Public School since 1996, was inaugurated in 1933. On the occasion of its 90th anniversary, collective research was undertaken, which provided a large amount of data and material on the history of the building and the institution. As part of the work, this paper examines its origin and construction, focusing on the project by the architect Pedro Sánchez Sepúlveda (1928). Together with that of the «twin school» of Boal, it constitutes a variation of the school model designed by Antonio Flórez for the Technical Office of School Constructions, meeting new hygienic-pedagogical requirements. Thus, this building is a great example of educational architecture of its time, standing out for its functionalism, spatial rationality, regionalist solutions and constructive quality.
